The Nanticoke Indian Association hosted a “Celebrating You!” ladies luncheon on Saturday May 4, 2013 at the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad, Millsboro, Delaware.

At our luncheon, 76 participants enjoyed an afternoon of health awareness, lunch, fellowship and door prizes.  Some of these ladies were local to our community, as well as friends and family members from other states.   Our oldest participant was 102 years of age from Washington, DC.  

The speakers at the luncheon were Mrs. Pat Carmine of Millsboro, Delaware and Pastor Aretha Ellis of Fire and Light Ministries, Dagsboro, Delaware.

The luncheon enabled the NIA to share some of our culture as well as have a health fair for the ladies.

The feedback from the ladies was very positive and the ladies look forward to another luncheon in May 2014.
